Saltby C-47 Aircraft caught fire 2 miles east of DZ N. Pilot realized plane was on fire but continued on to the DZ and dropped bundles. The plane then went down into a hedgrow and crashed and burned. The pilot was thrown from the wreck and was the only survivor. He had no recollection of any events between being told aircraft was on fire until June 12, 1944.
