There are 77 66th Infantry Division Soldiers Buried at the Normandy American Cemetery. Beyond what the headstone speaks of there is the Type of Death, Original Burial Locations (some have more than one) with their Plot Numbers and Date of Burial. Last but not least are their Army Serial Numbers if known the Location of Death and their Company Names. These soldiers drowned as their ship hit a mine just outside of Cherbourg, France.
